Joy in living comes from having fine emotions, trusting them, giving them the freedom of a bird in the open. Joy in living can never be assumed as a pose, or put on from the ouside as a mask. People who have this joy do not need to talk about it; they radate it.
And those who have and exhibit the joy of living are never those who have been without worry, sorrow, failure, disappointment, and discouragement. They are rather those Who have suffered and conquered, and who are willing to bear their share of the vicissitudes of life uncomplainingly.
The joy of living never comes to the frivolous, the superficial, the selfish. We can never get it by working for it directly. It comes, like happiness, to those who are aiming at something higher. The joy of living comes from what we put into living, not from what we seek to get from it.

We Are on a Journey
Wherever you are, and whoever you may be, there is one thing in which you and I are just alike at this moment, and in all the moments of our existence. We are not at rest; we are on a journey. Our life is a movement, a tendency, a steady, ceaseless progress towards an unseen goal. We gaining something, or losing something, every day. Even when our position and our character seem to remain precisely the same, they are changing, for the mere advance of time is a change. Are you nearer to your port today than you were yesterday? Yes, you must be a little nearer to some port or other; for since your ship was launched upon the sea of life, you have never been still for a single moment. The sea is too deep; you could not find an anchorage if you would; there can be no pause until you come into port.

Life is too short to be little
We men are imperfect beings, so conflict among us are unavoidable. Inevitably, we sometimes feel injured, insulted, or slighted. Perhaps we put our faith in another, and were disappointed.
Such experiences are painful indeed, but is it not foolish to let them occupy our thoughts and precious time? For what dose it profit us to dwell on trivial matters? The priceless days must be spent meaningfully, joyfully. Stop dwelling on the past and live in the present! It is far better to make the most of every moment by filling it with purpose or appreciation.
Next time you feel tempted to nurse a grievance, consider this thought that life is too short to be little.

This Class
The class has many humorous students. Everyone is very enthusiastic and imaginative power. This class’s students have fantastic idea.
Our class will prepare a dinner party in the last day of the term in this year. Classmates are so to expect coming soon the party that the mood is special excitement. We will arrange for three hosts and three hostess, several service staff in the party. There are many students to prepare fascinating performance. You will watch about this show have sing song, speak joke, to dance, too much perform let you pleasantly surprised.
However, this plan and the idea come from student’s creation and energy. Our artistic talent will expose on the stage in the day. I believe the party has a lively and joyful atmosphere on January 10. We will invite each teacher together with us to the show in the class. If you miss that it is rather unfortunate, so don’t be miss it.

Have Faith in Others
Belief is a happier state of mind than doubt and suspicion. I live by this, for I don't have faith in others, who believe in me? I would rather believe in a thousand people, friends and strangers than not believe.
Belief in people should be accomplish with open your eyes and clarity of judgment. But when your judgment proves bad rather than good, it is no reason to suspect your companion thereafter with suspicion.
None knows another's heart, his grief, his struggle, his despair and motivation. All men share pain and mortality, some bear these better than others. And a large number of people have perished spiritually for the lack of another's belief in them. So, I would rather be disappointed than be so afraid of being disappointed that I would not trust anyone again.

Youth
Youth is not just a stage of life, it is a state of mind. It is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions.

Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being's heart the love of wonder, the undaunted challenge of events, the unfailing childlike appetite for what may happen next. A College Education
A college education is important for these reasons. First, it prepares you for a career. For example, it will provide some directions for your work in the future. Let you have courage and wisdom to choose good work. You will have abilities to challenge more hard work and then you will achieve remarkable success with your job. Second, it cultivates your mind. Such as, you have enough an ability to control yourself. It makes you look like a knowledgeable person. Not only would you and your family respected, but you have not slighted. Third, it builds up your interpersonal relationship. Friendship is a kind of strong sentiment; it could bring unknown surprise for you. For example, your classmates maybe have chances to help with your work or at any time you are in trouble. Finally, it increases your professional knowledge. For example, you can learn more and more knowledge of specialized field. It will be a great benefit to your job because you can compete with the best teams. My 2010 New Year Resolutions
For my future, I expected to finish my plans in 2010 year. First, I would like to read a book about prose of English literature. The book is interesting make me feel very interested. It can increase my English writing and hope my English reading abilities. Therefore, I must read the book one chapter every week. I hope I can have patience to complete this plan.
Second, I would like to keep fit. It can help my health. I think keeping in shape is very important to everyone. Keeping in shape let me feel a self-confident person. I feel a sense of achievement to me. I always hope keeping fit because I think it is a symbol about beauty girl. Thus, I need to control my diet every day and must exercise more. In addition, I must eat well-balanced meals will improve my health.
Third, I would to keep my teeth and my smile bright. A person have charming laugh must have clear teeth. In order to this reason, I think I don’t eat too much sugary foods and dessert and then I must brush my teeth three times a day. Use dental floss daily better and visit my dentist every six month. I hope I have enough time to see my dentist every six month and to remember this schedule. The love of beauty is all healthy human nature, but must retain good habit is not easy. I think this is an important mind that stability is a very special demand for the cultivation of this trait. Hence, I must be disciplined until I have finished this plan.

Companionship of Books
A good book may be amnog the best of friends. It is the same today that it always was, and it will never change. It is the most patient and cheerful of companions. It does not turn its back upon us in times of adversity or distress. It always receives us with the same kindness, amusing and instructing us When we are young, and comforting and consoling us when we are old.
The book is a turer and higher bond of union. Men can think, feel, and sympathize with each other through their favorite author. They live in him together, and he lives in them.

My feeling is first, each person’s environment of birth or background that you cannot choose, but you maybe get chances to be able to change your future. About this future, you maybe have some experience in your life, such as face many setbacks and disciplines. You must believe in yourself. You must look upward and be hopeful, cheery, and optimistic. Maybe you can decide the destiny of yourself. You will be able to carve out a bright future.
Second, you must find your direction in your life. Time flies, it will change everything. We must find what you love to do .As long as you can insist on what you chose; believe you certainly will achieve your dreams. Everyone has to make choices. Each choice will affect your life. However, when we find our direction in our life journey, and treasure our life, by the time, the maxim of “Stay Hungry , Stay Foolish”, encourages us to understand that we should be modest to learn as long as we live. In other words, a modest person can get more and more the harvest; a conceited person maybe gets less and less knowledge. Therefore, we must cultivate admired quality that it is the greatest help for our life. Because of so much knowledge, and wonderful things are worthy of our continued learning in the world.

Friendship
No young man starting life could have better capital than plenty of friends. They will strengthen his credit, support him in every great effort. Friends of the right sort will help him more to be happy and successful than much money or great learning.
Friendship is no oneside affair. There can be no friendship without reciprocity. Once cannot receive all and give nothing, or give all and receive nothing, and expect to experience the joy and fullness of true companionship.

A Key to Happiness

The Love of Beauty
The love of beauty is an essential part of all healthy human nature. It is the moral quality. In proportion to the degree in which it is felt will probably be the degree in which nobleness and beauty of character will be attained.
Natural beauty is an all pervading presence. The universe is its temple. It unfolds into the numberless flowers of spring. It waves in the branches of trees and the green blades of grass. It haunts the depths of the earth and the sea. It gleams from the hues of the shell and the precious stone. And not only these minute objects but the oceans, the mountains, the clouds, the stars, the rising and setting sun, all overflow with beauty.
All persons should seek to get acquainted with the beauty in nature. To appreciate beauty not only increases our sourse of happiness, but enlarges our moral nature. My Brother
I have a younger brother who is a very cute and clever boy. My brother was born in 1989. My families all love him. Beause he plays the role of joyful person in my family. He always makes happy atmosphere, let everyone forget vexed things. He is considerate of everyone. I remember once I argued with my parents by something. I had a bad mood but he always attentive to my mind and gave cup of tea to me. Therefor I gained a peace of mind. He is a thinking and independent person. In the cause of tuition, he works and studies in college. Let my parent don’t worry about expensive school expenses. He shows to his filial piety. I can’t help to admire him for his sense.

We Chinese have a saying: "If a man plants melons, he will reap melons; if he sows beans, he will reap beans." and this is true of every man's life: good begets good, and evil leads to evil.
True enough, the sun shines on the saint and sinner alike, and too often it seems that the wicked wax and prosper. But we can say with certitude that, with the indivdual as with the nation, the flourishing of the wicked is an illusion, for endlessly, life keeps books on us all.
In the end, we are all the sum total of our actions. Character cannot be counterfeited, nor can it be put on and cast off as if it were a garment to meet the whim of the moment. Character requires time and nurture for growth and development.
Thus also, day by day, we write our own destiny, for inexorably we become what we do. This, I believe, is the supreme logic and the law of life.

A Dream
Everyone has belong to their own dream. I have many dreams but only one dream is my target finally.
I have various interests, such as reading, painting, writing, cooking, traveling, playing Chinese chess, dancing, singing… It makes me very interested and very happy.
I like to work every day. However, work can only enrich my life, to invest oneself is my goal in life. Investing stocks is very interesting to me. I ventured large amount of money on speculative stocks, to get more money. Maybe one day, I can do speculative ventures in real estate, it will get more and more money.
Day by day, night by night, year in year out. Ordinary people want to have a sweet family or a husband, a wife, and children. I am no exception but becoming the rich woman is my target finally.

About Travel
To me, travel is a very good activity. It can relax my mind and let me have a good mood. I usually go to travel and take picture every time.
In the northern part of Taiwan, Yangmingshan National Park and the northeast of seaboard are the places I like to travel most. There are beautiful views and frish air. Especially, the mountain scenery is majestic in Yangmingshan National Park. To see the mountain and the sea is very interesting.
In the middle part of Taiwan, where I like most is Shei-Pa National Park. There are variegation of the plants bring abundant wildlife resources, have representative's as the national treasure fish, Taiwanese species salmon called cherry blossom salmon. This is a special experience to me.
In the southern part of Taiwan, I prefer Kenting National Park most. You can see many beautiful landscapes, beautiful sandy beach and deep blue sea. Enjoy the warm sunshine with a smile. If I have enough time, I think I will go to travel around Taiwan one more time because I love Taiwan.

Classmates
I have a good class. There are many excellent teachers and students. They come from all coners of Taiwain. Their talent and ability is worshiped by me.
Especially, a girl can perform one kind of dance, called ‘’Latin Dance”. She has learned dance for six years. She has brown and waved hair, charming eyes. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. A boy is like a coach, maybe can teach swim. He has brown skin, sort and waved hair, look like strong body but he is a math teacher. In addition, there is still a boy who he is good at taking note quickly. He is tall and thin, and he is a poplur person in my classroom.
Maybe you don’t know others, there are smart leader, enthusiastic students in this class. Everyone has different skills. To me, they are teachers as well as friends in my life.
I think I made a wise decision to go to college, so I have the opportunity to meet my classmates. Studying is the best choice in my life. Because I can study, but only study. I will associate with my classmates, to carve out a bright future.

Introducing Myself
My name is Sara Chang. I come from Taipei, Taiwan. I have a warm and fragrant family. There are five people in my family. I have one sister and one brother. I am the first child in my family.
